I am a science fiction writer living in Leeds, United Kingdom. I was studying an MA in Creative Writing at Leeds Trinity University and have just finished it (October 2020). I achieved an overall grade of Distinction, which I am very happy about. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and recommend it for the way it is very practical and supports writers of all genres. I will now turn my attention to finishing the novel I was working on for my MA.
I’m a lifelong science fiction and fantasy fan, devouring books, films and anything SFF. I created the science fiction and fantasy webzine SFFdirect.com, where I blog about all things SFF, generally with a literary slant. You can read interviews, articles and reviews there.
I’m active in the local writing community and am a Committee Member of Leeds Writers Circle. I am the Events Coordinator, which means I organise the Saturday workshops. These are sometimes led by a guest, sometimes by a member of the Circle, and sometimes by myself!
I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS, also known as ME) and a mental health illness, which are limiting on what I can do, and I try to support others with disabilities.
